Midwest Psychological Center, Inc. is an experienced
provider of mental health services to private health care
organizations and public agencies. With over 30 years of
experience in mental health, we have built a strong and
growing network of dedicated professionals and
organizational resources.
Midwest’s specialization in mental health began when the
company was formed in 1978. Through the years, we have
developed and managed mental health programs for a variety
of agencies. Midwest has rapidly grown to become one of the
area’s leading providers of psychological and mental health
services with Job Corps, schools, Head Start, hospitals, and
other public agencies.
In the mid-1990’s, the organization expanded its scope of
services for community transition and aftercare services for
juveniles released from Boot Camp under a four-year contract
with the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC). Midwest’s
Family Preservation and Reunification Programs has been a
vital key in preventing out-of-home placement of children
from high-risk families for the Marion County Superior Court
Juvenile Division.
Midwest’s Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse (AODA) is a
certified alcohol and drug abuse program with the State of
Indiana, Department of Mental Health and Addictions (DMHA)
and provides assessment and referral services on behalf of
Marion County Superior Court, Juvenile Division.
In 1996, Midwest expanded its long-term care program and
developed Washington Place, a residential facility to
provide services to juvenile males with the Indiana DOC and
State of Indiana, Department of Child Services. Midwest
added its second residential facility, Ruckle Center, in
2003.
As the demand for correctional behavioral care shifted and
the marketplace developed, Midwest has concentrated on new
demand and growth related to mental health services
particularly in correctional facilities. We provided mental
health services to Marion County Jail system inmates at four
sites in Indianapolis, Indiana.
For programs and contracted positions, Midwest recruits and
hires employees including psychiatrists, psychologists and
mental health professionals. We maintain a continuous and
growing network of candidates, recruiting resources and
professional organizations that understand and are committed
to corrections-related work.
Midwest has a sincere desire to continuously improve the
quality of addictions and mental health care. We supply the
resources needed to achieve this objective and assure staff
compliance with review requirements, quality assurance
planning and in-service training.
Today, Midwest Psychological Center represents the highest
standard of experience and leadership in the field of mental
health, correctional healthcare and program management.
